DeLaSalle Invitational Information

The Invitational at DeLaSalle on Sunday, February 21, 2010:

Bus leaves at 10:45 am. Be here by 10:30 am.

Field events start at 12:30pm. Running events are scheduled to start at 12:30 pm also.

No spikes and no taped spikes allowed.

2 entries in each individual event.

Order of events:

Long Jump
Triple Jump
High Jump
Shot Put

1. 1600m run
2. 55m High Hurdles
3. 55m dash
4. Sprint Medley (1 lap, 2 lap, 3 lap, 4 lap)
5. 4 x 160m relay
6. 400m dash
7. 800m run (Note: this event may be moved to event #5)
8. 200m dash
9. 4 x 400m relay

This is a coed meet. Girls run first in all events.

Pole Vault (starts promptly at 4:00)
Long Jump (starts 15 minutes after conclusion of PV)
Triple Jump (starts 15 minutes after conclusion of LJ)
High Jump (starts at 5:00)
Shot Put (starts 15 minutes after conclusion of HJ)

Running events start at 5:00

Last year, OPRF had prelims for 55m HH, 55m dash, and 55m LH.

Then, finals proceeded as follows:

2. 4 x 160m relay

4. 55m HH
5. 55m dash
6. 800m run
7. 400m dash
8. 1600m run
9. 55m LH
10. 200m dash
11. 4 x 400m relay

Shoe note: no spikes allowed and no taping of spikes allowed.

Track is a 160m Mondo surface. Only chalk is allowed for marking.

Lineups for Thornwood

Information and lineups for Saturday’s meet. Be at Fenwick at 7:45 am. The bus will leave promptly at 8:00 am.

Bring water, food, a pillow, and something to read or other homework. There might be a long wait between events. We’ll arrive at Thornwood at about 9:00am. This will give us time to set up and for the field event people to start to warm up.

Vaulters! Learn to fly at Vault Chicago “Jumpin’ Sundays” Vault Camp

Sundays at Bloom High School: anyone at any level of vault experience can participate in vault camp.

A maximum of two athletes from each school can attend. The best vaulters in our league have cut their teeth at these camps so consider participating.

You should bring your own pole. The cost is $20 per session.

Let coach McKinley know if you are interested so that Fenwick can coordinate their participants and equipment.
