Camps for summer 2010

Get to a track and field camp this summer. It’s a great way to improve in your event, meet college coaches, see a campus, and have fun. If you can get a few people to go, some camps have “group” rates. Here are a few camps in the area, at both large and small colleges and universities. There are a variety of dates and rates for these camps, and they generally cover all events: distance, sprints, hurdles, field.

The 4×800m relay team of Matt Shannon, Bill Toohey, Matt Hipskind, and Steve Blazer were 11th in 7:58.32.

Blaze made a valiant attempt to come back after a blistering split in the 3200m relay. But the short turn around and high temps proved to be too much as Steve failed to qualify for Saturday’s final.

Dan finished 6th in his qualifying heat. He was in the top three through the first hurdles but hit the last ones hard–still finishing strong in 14.91.

Awards Banquet

Our awards banquet will be held in the student cafeteria on Tuesday, May 24. Doors open at 6:30. Dinner will begin to be served at 6:45. The awards presentation will begin about 7pm.
