Participating athletes will be excused after their 9th period class on Friday.  Please dress quickly and be ready to leave at 1:45pm.

You must be wearing a full track uniform to participate–no exceptions.  This includes the complete track warmup.  You may wear a white or black singlet and black shorts.  You have the option of wearing the track compression shirt or not.  You may wear a plain black or white t-shirt under your singlet.  You may wear compression shorts.  You may not wear a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or anything other than a track warmup jacket over the uniform singlet during warmups.   You may not wear any garment from another sport.  If you have ANY questions about proper attire, ask a coach.  Do not jeopardize your participation in an event by wearing inappropriate clothing items.

Shots and discus will be checked and weighed at 3pm.

Vaulters must weigh in and have poles inspected at 3pm.

Field events begin at 4pm.

Running prelims begin at 4:45pm

Finals begin at 6pm.  The normal order of outdoor track events will be followed.

Please check the weather report and be prepared.  Bring plenty of fluids and something appropriate to eat between events.

Your participation in the sectional is an honor.  Many track athletes in the state do not have the opportunity to run in the sectional and compete for state qualification.  The coaches expect you to stay for the entire meet, regardless of when you finish your event.  Please make arrangements with your parents to stay and cheer on your team until the end of the 4 x 400m relay.

If you are in the lineup, you are expected to be there.
